There's nothing on BBC 2's website about a third season and it's October 2016 now. I don't think there's going to be a season three. Just face it, this show wasn't picked up for a third season. They scrapped it for whatever reason.
Please, excuse my poor english, but S3 is coming. Maybe not this year, but it is coming for sure. Reece Shearsmith himself has confirmed.
I complained on twitter about 2 weeks ago because I had just started to watch IN.9 and I thought it was amazing, but didn't knew anyone who had also seen it.
He replied to me: "Third series is on way. It is watched by some."
