Whats with Lexa and Luna ?

Any theories ?
Why do both seem emotional at the mention of the other ? And how Lexa didn't wanna listen to Titus when he wanted to track Luna down after she fled and how Luna didn't wanna fight Lexa in the conclave even though she fought her own brother.

I was wondering that myself. I was thinking perhaps they got to be really really close and Luna knew she'd kill Lexa in the conclave. And I don't mean close as in romantic either- I don't see that as having been a thing Between them.

Yeah, I knew from the first moment Luna spoke about Lexa that she did care for her but not romantically at all as I'm quite sure Costia was around when they knew each other also judging from the stuff I read online, some people say that there will be a Luna/Clarke thing in 4B (I'm not sure myself just what I read) and in that case I think no way the writers will be stupid enough (AGAIN) to piss Clexa fans off by having Clarke like her ex. So I'm thinking they were like you said, very close friends or maybe sisters? And in case the spoilers are true, thats why Clarke might start to like Luna as she is in a way similar to Lexa, but then again, could be all just fan rambling. But I'm still sure there is some kind of history between Luna and Lexa judging from their reactions when the other is brought up just not sure if they'll explore it on the show or not.

I won't give that much about the Clarke/Luna rumour. It wouldn't make much sense IMO. As much as I want to see Clarke with Bellamy some day, there is so much all of them had and will have to face, they need time to come to terms with it all and with themselves, I don't want to see any of them in a constant romantic relationship this season. Those who already have one like Miller and Monty I'm ok with, but everything new would be a bit too much. Besides, Luna lost the love of her life, too. I hope she also won't move on that fast.

Yeah, I think season 4 should focus on how to survive something known to be un-survivable and if / when they do, they can start playing house in season 5 while wrapping up the series. Anyhow, I'm not a fan of spoilers in general, I prefer to see how the story goes on weekly bases better but there definitely seems to be more to Luna/Lexa connection that we may or may not have it explained to us.

I'm sure we will get to know more about it. The Boat People (and with them Luna) will play a (bigger?) role in S4, according to the showrunner. So here's hope to get some insight in the Lexa/Luna thing, if not visually (because ADC won't be in S4), but Luna talking about it. Or maybe some flashbacks to the conclave Luna took part (so we can finally see how it really works, not that fake conclave Ontari staged off screen), again without Lexa, but to tell this story we don't have to see her, I think.

I'm so curious! Eric Goldman (IGN) tweeted a few days ago that he'd leave for Vancouver today. He didn't say anything about The 100, but in the past years he visited the set during filming for midseason or a bit later (last year during filming 3.11). I hope we'll get some news/interviews next week. They are about to film 4.08.

I'm wondering if Luna ends up taking the Flame and Clarke is. Ow essentially the Flame Keeper- so that could be a big connection?!

reply

I'm not sure whether Luna will take or not the flame. Taking that thing would mean to follow the traditions of the grounders she abandoned long ago. I don't see her giving up her lifestyle to become a new Lexa, and Clarke holds the flame but she's not a flame-keeper like Titus was.

After the chaos Alie caused, the grounders should feel lost and baffled so it would be a good time to start anew. Luna could be a new commander or the person in charge but ruling according to her own norms and peaceful philosophy.

reply

This is true. She's definitely a very excellent warrior and peace keeper- she really could be a very respected Commander. The Grounders who were under Lexa will need to concede to her new ways should this happen- since I believe they outnumber the grounders out on that oil rig/barge in the water
