The first season or 2 was great! Loved it!

After that started to get stupid I had to change my rating from a 10 to a 7

Tell us more. What was stupid about season 3 that you felt compelled to change your rating from a 10 to a 7?

Wow..from 10 to 7? How and why? Tell me about it, I'd love to know the back od the story.

7's a bit harsh but I do see where your coming from.
Season 1 I would have rated around a 8.A really good show with a good start and was a newish concept and there was characters that were interesting.
Season 2 was excellent. I would go to the extent of rating it a 10. So much happened , so much improvement from season 1.
Season 3 like season 1 rate a 8.After season 2 I was looking so forward to season 3 but it just didn't deliver and wasn't what I expected. Far too many deaths just to shock the audience , and the storyline for me just wasn't as engaging as the previous mount weather storyline had been.
Hope Season 4 can change my mind about the show but honestly wouldn't be surprised if it turns out even worse.

Started watching at S2, everything just kept getting worse. S3 is like a 6 at best. Ultra poor writing and completely stupid behaviour by 85% of characters every episode.

reply

May I ask why didn't you watch S1?

reply

My girlfriend had watched S1 before and we agreed to watch S2 together. I caught up on what I missed by browsing http://the100.wikia.com/wiki/The_100_Wiki , meaning when A.L.I.E. appeared in S3 I knew who she was while my girlfriend had already largely forgotten her.
I suppose the only things I'm missing out is how characters "felt" in S1, namely the ark leadership being more 'evil' characters there and becoming more 'good' in S2.

Season 1 was great. I was hooked immediately. The 100 having to survive in a new environment and contend with new enemies, while Ark struggled with their own morality as they face their fate.

Season 2 was pretty good. All the different communities - the 100, the Ark, the Grounders - converge to fight a common enemy in the mountain men.

But season 3, wtf happened? I can't even get into 3. I started binge watching all three seasons over a few days yet I feel lost at the start of season 3. At least s1 and s2 had some continuity between seasons, but besides the characters, s3 is so disconnected from the first two seasons. The characters are all over the place and so out of character. It's like watching a sub-par fanfic of The 100.

The beginning of season 3 felt like a different show. I think it gets back to normal at about 3x07. I liked S2 more than S1 so my opinion might be different than yours, but the delinquents do get back together in 3B and it's much more cohesive.

reply

Thanks. I'll give s3 another try. I only got through episode 2 before losing interest. I'll watch a few more episodes and, hopefully like you mentioned, it will get back to what we've come to enjoy in the first two seasons.

I think season 3 was the best produced season of the series so far. They did an excellent job at covering multiple storylines in a single episode. I was very impressed with the direction and pace of the season. I also found the A. I. storyline interesting.

I thought season 3 was great. Season 1 was okay. Season 2 was a huge improvement and season 3 only improved from there.

I mean, I get that lots of people hated the AI plot of season 3, but I really loved that aspect.

The cold winds are rising. Winter is coming.
