Watched half the pilot

It's definitely geared towards a younger audience, but not quite in the "teen show" category.

I'm in my 30's and enjoy enough kill an hour a week on it.

The pilot sucks. The show is still teeny sometimes but it gets a lot darker later in the series

Definitely give it a shot. First few episodes aren't too good. The second half of season 1 and all of season 2 (IMHO) are excellent. Opinions are divided about season 3! I'm a few years older than you and I love it.

I felt the same way after watching the pilot. I would say the first three episodes of Season 1 have a teeny bopper vibe, but once you get past those episodes it gets a lot better and a whole lot darker! Give it a shot!

There is a bit of that in the start of season one, but not really as the show progresses. The thing is that the actors look far too old to be playing teenagers in the first place, second is that the characters themselves don't behave like teenagers for the most part.

I just marathoned this show, and episode one of the first season is by far the worst of the show. It's very rare I have watched a show where the pilot is worse than any other episode in the show, but it's true for this one.

I felt the same at first, and knowing the premise ahead of time was why I wouldn't watch it for years until a friend said I NEEDED to! S3 had already ended by that time! So I finally checked it out and I was amazingly surprised with how much I liked the "adult" storylines too. I don't know how far you got in the pilot- but the adults play a pretty major role throughout the entire series. And the integration of adults and the "kids" plays out nicely. I'm no spring chicken and I stuck with the show and enjoyed it very much.

You may or may not like the storylines or characters if you give it a second shot- but I'd recommend against writing it off because it's too "kid oriented" at first. It doesn't necessarily stay that juvenile.

You should definitely give it a shot. The season gets better and the show gets really good in season 2.

The first season gets better with every episode, you should definitely give it a shot.
