I would grade it an "8".

Pretty dark ending!!!

Yeah I thought the ending was with Clark in City of Light stuff was good.

Octavia killing Pike was okay as a before credit scene, but I think they could have done better.

I just finished the season a few hours ago.

The episode was meant to have a different ending originally. Jasper was supposed to kill himself, you know when he walks away from his friends and they show his face in a close up, but they cut it since they found it too dark of an ending for such a dark season. That's why the ending feels a little off-ish.

I loved seasons 1 & 2... but I hated season 3. Enough that I don't think I'm going any further.

You should at least give it a try. They've said that season 4 has much more of the feel of the first two seasons about it.
