because I'm a fan of Anna Farris, but I couldn't get past the first few minutes of laugh track in S1E1.
Is it that way all the way through, or did the producers wise up after awhile and ditch the annoying laugh track?
It is all the way through. It is an old school style sitcom in the way it's done, the story line's, acting, scripts etc.

shareI watched a few episodes, but it was so one-note--the mother being an irresponsible middle-aged slut and the daughter complaining about it--that it quickly got boring and I bailed out.
