Love Sly....but this show is bad.
First time I've ever watched a 'reality' show (so I guess I'm not the target audience) and by that rationale, I'm kind of lost what to compare it to?
But this show is really bland. Despite Stallone being my favourite (living) actor...I'm not entirely sure his life (at home with his wife and daughters) is interesting enough to stretch out to a full series?
Whilst it was interesting to see Pacino and Lundgren turn up (alongside some location footage from previous movies) far too much is made of nothing...and (it pains me to say it) Sly comes across as grumpy, overly-preachy (and constantly reaching for some 'profound' speech) instead of just being natural. I mean, he is (and always will be) an icon of cinema...but he seems to be spreading himself thin of late (to merely stay relevent) instead of concentrating on acting and directing?
He doesn't require my validation to do anything....But at 76, I wish he'd end his career on some drama or thrillers (either in front or behind the camera...or both) as opposed to this trash.
The only interesting (and unitentionally funny) aspect is his brother, Frank...who whilst I'm sure is a stand-up guy...gives off that creepy-uncle vibe (I wonder if Stallone based the character 'Paulie' on him?)
'Tulsa King' left me cold, truth be told (hate all that mobster-shit)
