Sign Language??

I am intrigued if there were any use of American Sign Language in the film since Jacob Tremblay's character is deaf in it?

You're not intrigued, you're lonely and desperate for IMDb friends.

And, you're poor, old, and dumb... What's your point? (just kidding - I know you're incapable of having a point!)

His character is not deaf.

The OP is not referring to her step-son. The character Tom had a hearing problem. In the beginning the case worker mentioned he was going to be sent to the Home for the Deaf.

I don't believe he was 100% deaf, just hard of hearing. I know the case worker would talk louder to him. Plus he probably learned to read lips too. I don't recall any sign language during the movie.
