What I liked about this

I liked that, unlike almost all other movies, it didn't delve into unnatural or forced 'love'. In almost every movie, they make some kind of romance appear, which, to me, becomes really unrealistic.

I agree.
The deep friendship between Rachel and Greg seems to be better than some corny teenage romance. It transcends that cliche. Loved it!

I was surprised by how touching this was.
Thomas Mann was excellent.

Movies AND music. Everything is about love, datinf, sex. It's refreshing when something artful ISNT about that.

I'm glad I watched this little "gem" of a film last night. I liked it more than The Faukt in Our Stars, which people are comparing it to. And I just found the characters refreshing. It could have veered of into the typical falling in love with the dying girl (were they're officially "hooked up" etc..) but they didn't. Not to say he didn't "love" her...just that it didn't become one giant cliche.

Yeah. Those things are so cliche that they turns me off. That's why I didn't consider Fault in our Stars to be that good a movie

I liked everything about it but found the cinematography to be among the best in all film history
