Maybe 100 years of peace made them soft and stupid. They train for months and they can hardly kill titans.
This show reminds me of Starship Troopers. In that movie they train for weeks and then when it is time to fight the alien giant bugs, the soldiers just go crazy and act as if they have never been in the military before.

They should be using stealth and teamwork to fight titans yet I hardly see any teamwork in any of them. They should be setting traps for titans. If the titans are docile at night, they should fight them at night. It makes no sense how they keep getting constantly killed for no reason by these giants. But like I said before, maybe after 100 years they got stupid.

I'm not sure how much of the anime or manga you've gotten into, but you seem to be missing lots of information, or are blind to what is disclosed.

You are right when it comes to the MP (Military Police). The top ten cadets are given the ability to join the MP, where they will reside within wall Sina, and never see a titan ever. Once they do, the MP is dispatched far easier than the Garrison or Scout regimen. The scouts in particular are well informed, and though their casualties are high in number, it isn't due to lack of team work, or using well developed espionage and battle tactics. Commander Erwin has implemented many methods to seriously decrease the number of deaths during their expeditions. Not all titans are docile at night, and it is the deviants (titans who behave differently and ignore the rules) that are responsible for more deaths to the military branches that fight them.

They are not stupid, but this era of humans has also returned to a more primitive state of living and defense. The humans are also at a major disadvantage at night. It's pretty hard to fight what you cannot see.
