I can't stand Armin's English voice

I'm usually not so picky when it comes to voice actors, but in my opinion the actor that was picked for Armin does not fit him at all.

It's too deep and narmy. Even if I hadn't watched the original Japanese first I think it would have been wrong.

Other dubbed voices like Eren and Hange bother me too, but that's probably because I'm used to the original version.

I cringe at most of the English voiceovers, especially Armin and Mikasa. You're right, even without looking at the Japanese version first, these two in particular just don't fit the personalities they belong to. Eren's is not too bad, and Hange I can take either/or. If there is an English voice I actually like over the Japanese version, it would be Annie's

you're right, the japanese voices are so much better where all the young male characters sound like women and all the bad guys sound like old constipated men.

Love the sarcasm dude. There is only one male character who sounds like a girl, and that would likely be because he is voiced by a female. That character is Armin. Who are these other characters you speak of. Major characters like Jean, Eren, Reiner, and Bertolt all sound pretty masculine to me.

Don't come here to bash unless you have some actual ammunition that makes sense. Otherwise, you just sound like an idiot.

you really can't hear how awful the Japanese voice acting is?

I won't rule out the possibility of it being a cultural thing but i've never heard actual japanese people talk anything like any of the characters. It's is as though it's a kids cartoon where all the actors are putting on a weird voice for some reason, but this and most anime clearly isn't for kids.

Theres the characters who speak like they are clenching their throat, trying to whisper and have a very breathy shocked all the time way of speaking.

Theres the older men characters who talk similarly but more like a guttural growl, clenching their gut/constipated sound

the female characters sound like they are trying to set a word record for the highest pitch produced by a human

and worst of all it seems like none of the actors were in the same room when they each did their lines. none of it sounds like they are reacting to each other. I remember specifically the scene later in the season where hte main guy just got to the castle/old hq and he is talking to one of the female characters who stopped by his room, he is talking with this weird panicked, out of breath voice and she's talking like she gabbing with her girl friends.

not to mention all the hard "gah, huh, wah, uh nghh, oh ah, ha, aah" sounds everyone makes in response to things other people say. I don't think i've ever seen a human being react like they are being physically punched in the gut because of something someone has said.

The dub sucks and I am extremely disappointed in Funimation. I was really hoping Attack on Titan would get a dub on the same level as Bebop or Black Lagoon.
