Dubs vs subs

90% of the time when possible I prefer to watch the original subtitled versions of something over dubs (anything live-action for obvious reasons, original soundtrack/subtitles for Ghibli films given how Disney will sanitize or alter the content). With some anime shows (Monster, Death Note) I watch the dubbed versions because those are the ones playing on television. That was the case for Attack on Titan but I recently acquired Crunchyroll for my PS3 which has the subtitled versions for free. I was wondering for those who've watched both how do they compare? Should I try rewatching the series subtitled and continue on from there when the new season starts or stick with Adult Swim?

I've only seen the first few episodes dubbed, but for what it's worth, I thought it was rubbish. I say subs all the way.

Sub wins. No comparison whatsoever.

With this series, unquestionably watch it with the subs. The original voice actors nail their parts. The voice actors in in the dub vary in quality. Some of them sound like 40 year olds trying to sound like children (which is the case). It's cringe inducing.

I actually prefer the dubs in this case. The voice actors nail the emotions in a more dramatic, relatable way then spending your time reading would allow. The voice actors are good. Dubs definitely
