how stupid is the humans?! really?

i mean i havent seen the whole show but i have read about it and seen trailers and the death scenes on youtube,
and i think that - how stupid are the humans????
if they instead of saying dramatic stuff everytime they are going to attack a titan, just attack it!
its the classic "villain tell the plan before killing the hero"-ploy flipped.

and whats with the strings,
its obviously not working!

argh.
it almost made me root for the titans.

To be honest,😉 the titans have the best dialogue...

Isn't the whole point that they're having some sort of psychology breakdown.

Also i'm not too sure but isn't there some sort of psychological effect the titans have on humans? Like you have to have been effected or witnessed or had a hand in death or some *beep* not to have a freak out.

The goals of the [sentient] titans have not been revealed even in AoT manga, so it might not be so bad choice to root for them, there are still many secrets that can turn the tables :)

Oh, and being too vocal about the plans will have consequences in some events to come, so I don't have any objections with that, it's rather realistic :)

It is supposed to take place long before modern times (I think considering the first episode was named "To you, in 2000 years" so I do not know). Considering that their technology is not very good and that seems to be the best choice. It is not like they have modern weapons to begin with.

Because a rotting undead corpse is probably a better choice than most politicians

Definitely don't watch the show then. Especially in the back end of the first season this drove me nuts.

I wanted to throttle Armin the most - the blonde smart alecky friend of the main character. Not only does he incessantly whine about his lack of self-confidence and how everything sucks, he blathers on at the worst possible times when urgency is a matter of life and death.

The action gets put on pause so everything can be plainly spelled out for the audience - both plot and "subtext" and often repeatedly - for absurd lengths of time. These are usually conversations (or worse, internal monologues) that either could have been addressed earlier on and/or didn't need to occur at all.

I can see some of this working in the manga format. But in an audio-visual medium it's ridiculous. The dialogue needs to be adapted for the format, not translated verbatim.
