Is the Colossal titan an human?

What do you guys think? Please don't answer if u have read the manga and know the answer.

I haven't read the manga but they explain in the series that it must have been a human with a ODM device so he could get away in the smoke after killing it. (just like the female titan)

Just re-watch Season 1. Its so bloody obvious who the Colossal and Armoured Titan are. There are so many hints and foreshadowings its brilliant after knowing the truth.

And yes, you'll know who they are in Season 2 since the first arc in the season will reveal after a few episodes. Probably halfway through. So you can either wait till Season 2 or read the Manga.

If you're really curious and you wanna know by finding out yourself, rewatch season 1! All the hints were there, tbh. Just pay attention. It's all there :)

If I am to follow the series hints, I think the Collosal Titan is Eren's father.

SPOILERS!

He gave Eren the substance that made him turn into a Titan. Plus, Eren's halfmade Titan when he stopped the cannons, looks a lot like the Colossal Titan. Maybe he looked the same because they are family?

If you wanna know what happened to Eren's Dad then rewatch the episode where Eren in titan form is writing on the ground and then suddenly goes crazy or something.

If you can read Japanese and make out the words properly, it gives you massive foreshadowing as to what happened to Eren's dad.

Of cause Season 2 will adapt that part in the manga where we find out what happened to him.

As for who the Colossal Titan is, well, you should actually ask who the Armoured Titan is first then you'll have both your answers.

See, THIS is why I love Attack On Titan. The foreshadowings beforehand, the set-ups, the planning and reveals. It doesn't come out as half-assed or stupid. You can tell it was well crafted and planned from the beginning and I love it for that. Any story with those kind of elements is a good story.

Not giving the answer away, but the way it suddenly disappeared when Eren tried to kill it implies that it is, having reverted back to its human form before he could land a killing blow. I think Armin mentioned his suspicion of it too, but as of yet, the anime has not revealed if it is or not. In the manga, it's revealed to be Bertoldt, and the Armored Titan is Reiner. Ymir is also another one called the Dancing Titan.
