Doesn't have to be just one.

I liked him in Jane Eyre

And Shame (and not because of the nudity)

I have seen several of his movies and IMHO he was wonderful in Jane Eyre and Shame, with this movie being a solid third. He's one of those wonderful actors who can emote a great deal with his face alone. Hence, why he's the perfect choice for characters who don't say a lot, i.e. Shame, The Light Between Two Oceans.
