What I would have liked to have seen at the end {{ Spoilers }}}

There's this huge and unsatisfying gap between the couple going to court & Hannah pleading for clemency for them, and then suddenly Isabel is (somehow?) dying ~ Ouff!

They were a loving couple before this moral crisis challenged them. And they made a wrong choice, but out of love: Tom's love of Isabel and Isabel's love of Lucy.

So, when they were restored to their marriage, a huge opportunity that Hannah would never have since her loving spouse had perished, I would have loved to have seen them mature as a couple.

I agree completely. To go from Hannah asking for clemency to Isabel dying in the hospital in 1950 was jarring.

I would've liked to have seen Hannah visit Tom with Lucy Grace at the end.

All in all, I was transfixed by this movie. I couldn't stop watching. It's one of the most beautifully shot movies I've seen in a long time.

Agree on all your points..Now go see Fassbender in Fishtank. Gritty and captivating he is.
