I can imagine being a movie director to be a very stressful responsibilty... even with all the resources and millions... you have a lot of people to answer to... studio people and millions of fans.

I've never liked none of his movies and consider him beyond overhyped... similar to Michael Bay.
Would have chosen many other filmmakers to take over these movies than JJ Abrams.
If I had been in charge of Lucasfilm I would have persued Guillermo Del Toro to take over.
I would have also considered Denis Villeneuve, but I think he's too serious for Star Wars (similar to considering Christopher Nolan or David Fincher) all 3 of them are absolute MASTERS... but I don't know about them going into this fantasy territory.
I never got the appeal of his work.
