Disney Star Wars is terrible.

Regardless of how much money they make.

Almost all the posts on the first page are either about the budgets, profits, and comparisons to Lucas' Star Wars movies.

Now, if these movies were actually good...the posts would be about that. Perfect example is the Mandalorian board. Almost all the posts are about the show, and that it's great.

It's been a mixed bag.

I thought that TFA was mediocre, but not terrible. Rogue One was solidly good. The Last Jedi sucks. Solo is another exercise in mediocrity. Rise of Skywalker is good enough, considering JJ had a herculean task ahead of him in trying to fix everything that Rian Johnson fucked up. I'll grade that one on a curve.

The Mandalorian is up there with Rogue One as being very good, and is probably even better than R1, but it's got a very different feel to it as a TV series.

I agree with you with almost everything, above all referring to TLJ.
Apart from that I think TFA was a good Star Wars movie

I agree to. Both of your comments sum up what a lot of people feel.

I found TFA pretty forgettable. It would've been better if they had decided to do something other than essentially remake A New Hope. Enough with the planet-destroying super-weapons that our heroes have to band together to take out!

Plus, this was the beginning of Rey's Mary Sue powers. She never should've been able to go toe-to-toe with Kylo.

But still, it's at least a better film than The Last Jedi. Not only does it not make a multitude of entry-level writing mistakes, but it also lacks most of the SJW pandering and isn't blatantly disrespectful to the character of Luke Skywalker.

1999 Lucas raped my childhood

2015 Disney ruined Star Wars

To be fair, GL did say ahead of time that the prequels would be very different movies...but he really should have had other directors and script-writing help like with the OT. He surrounded himself with Yes-People and it backfired greatly.

Disney had all the time in the world to plan these movies out with a cohesive narrative and they completely dropped the ball on the 1 yard line.

George Lucas hand picked Kathleen Kennedy to run his company :)

That was Lucas' biggest mistake. Spielberg's secretary, Kathleen Kennedy, should stick to fetching coffee.

You misspelled "ruin".

We've been conditioned for this. I don't see the big deal. This isn't our first batch of bad Star Wars movies.

Disney spent generations making films where the protagonists lived happily ever after. So they buy out the fairy tail that pretty much defined a generation (the one that ended with a wonderfully happy ending), just to make sure their beloved characters DIDN'T live happily ever after. I wonder what Walt would think about all this.
