I think the backlashes from the first 2 movies mellowed the feminist agenda. When there is a choice between money and politics Kathleen Kennedy chose money, probably buckled under the pressure from Disney. So it is Kathleen Kennedy who is full of shit.

Don't worry, Lando will domesticate her, and soon enough she'll be barefoot & pregnant, visiting Rey on Tatooine to show-off her baby.

Rey will get the baby-rabies by Act II in Episode X, and with the wall approaching fast, she'll settle down with the first Jawa who'll have her.
