What purpose do the drones serve now anyway? Rey knows everything and can do anything. They are superfluous.

She can't connect herself to the ship. So droids are not superfluous, they are auto-portable usb plugs.

I think the meme boils down the concept of the Mary Sue fairly succinctly.

LOL. That's so spot on. Pretty much reflects what I've been saying about the Disney trilogy. The male characters are reduced to being a pretty pathetic, almost useless lot. Especially in the last Jedi.

When K Kennedy came in she fired the story department for SW and filled every position with hard core feminist women. That explained a lot, when I found that out.

And so we got this, along with all that "The Force is Female" stuff.

Somehow Disney is surprised when the toys are failing to sell and the audience for the movies is shrinking though. I guess they forgot that while, yes, there are plenty of female SW fans out there, the market for the toys and the movies too skews mostly male.

When you do that that to all the male characters, including Luke, those boys are going to lose interest, and many of the adult nerds who also buy a lot of merchandise will too.
