My theory is that the Jedi order is over. The Jedi order failed. There is always going to be Sith lurking in the shadows. A new order is needed. This makes makes good sense on what Luke said in The Last Jedi, the Jedi needs to end.

shareI kind of disagree. If the title means Skywalker is a new force user "order" then it honors TLJ. Luke was the last of the "old" Jedi order.
shareKevin Smith has the same theory. With force sensitive people, mainly Jedi being called Skywalkers now. I don't know why they would just drop the brand name of Jedi, it's such a part of pop culture it would feel kinda weird. Also, does that mean Dark Jedi and Siths are also getting a name change?
shareI don't know. The point as mentioned,is that The Jedi Order creates a dichotomy of the force, which will always spawn new Sith. So,there is this battle on repeat. Maybe this goes back to the prophesy of the one bringing balance to the force. First understood as destroying the Sith order. But in truly doing so the Jedi order has to go as well.
