I personally dislike the direction of the Disney films. I dislike the characters. I didn’t think the trailer was that good. I didn’t see Solo and don’t really plan to see this. That said, will I probably see it?

Basically everyone in the civilized world is going to watch this.
I'll be there on Thursday night for the earliest show to which I can score a ticket, and I know full well every single show at every single theater will be sold out for at least the first 4 days it's open.
I remember trying to see The Force Awakens for a second time on the Monday after its opening weekend and being unable to purchase a ticket due to sellouts.
I get it, you aren't all that into it. We all have our opinions, but I think we both know this is going to sell mad quantities of tickets. Interestingly, I suspect on this board there will be an overwhelming amount of hatred directed at it. If one read only this board, one would expect the movie to flop, not make the $1 to $2 billion it will no doubt make.

I thought the trailer was great, The Emperor coming back in some capacity was something I certainly wasn’t expecting. I trust J.J so will definitely be seeing this now, hopefully he retcons a lot of Rian’s rubbish.
