No buzz/hype for final installment of Skywalker saga?

shareChances are this won't make as much money as they had hoped. It will make huge bank... but not what was expected. Solo being the first Star Wars to not meet expectations... that's a huge moment. Never expected that to happen. Not even the much hated prequels failed to meet expectations.
Disney is treading water
The prequels are no longer hated. Anyone who says they still are, despite the ridiculously bad Last Jedi and unoriginal Force Awakens, needs to re-evaluate them.
I have seen how the Prequels are getting more praise with the release of the newer ones. At least the prequels were diff films from the OT. They didn't try to retread the same water. In that sense... it seems even Lucas is somewhat being redeemed by fans. Ironic.
shareThere are no Skywalker's alive for this movie to be about. It's all about Rey (I kicked Darth Emo's butt twice with no training). There's no way that this movie can be hyped. Dumbisny killed anyone worth caring about.

shareBen is sad and emo. Yeah he has Skywalker blood in him, but he straight up sucks, and his suckiness canceled out any Skywalker coolness that he may have once possessed. And how much are they going to do with Leia when Carrie is dead in real life.

shareThis will be the third time we'll have a "final" Star Wars movie. I don't think people are as excited about it now as they were back in 1983 and 2005. To add to that, we know Disney is planning to have future spin off movies and shows, so it's not as special.
sharei think TLJ had a massive negative impact on this and Solo, it certainly did for me, plus i believe they have been made 2 soon, should of been 3 years apart in the making, likewise with the story , 3 years after TFA, 3 years after TLJ.
shareThe final installment of the Skywalker saga already happened. Luke died like a fart in the wind. The end. I could not possibly care less what Disney does with the IP now. I hope all the groups they were trying win over support SW universe the way all us unwannated old curmudgeons did. But I doubt they will...
