The reason TFA was ANH is because the writer was Lawrence Kasdan, and Disney's "playing it safe." When people enjoyed (mostly) Force Awakens, they took risks with Rogue One and TLJ. My point is, Abrams is writing it this time around, and if Lost, Star Trek, Super 8, Alias and his other projects are any indication, this should be quite epic!

JJ Abrams is a hack who relies on good PR to whip up a lot of hype for his projects. People get deawn in due to the big mysteries surrounding the projects then they end up mediocre or outrght bad.
