Ever see Brazil? Gilliam willfully put a disturbing scene in, that references the callous destruction of life that goes on in the Star Wars films.

Hell yes, A New Hope had the biggest body count in movie history for a long time just due to the population of Alderaan.

I think it was only beaten by Force Awakens, since I believe five planets were destroyed by Starkiller base.
