Kennedy and Johnson both need to be fired

...It's as if they're intentionally trying to destroy Star Wars as we know it, kills its lore, kill its characters and bastardize it into something it was never meant to be.

Yeah, what are the odds of this "unrelated Star Wars trilogy by Rian Johnson" happening now? After this Last Jedi turd? Outlook not good.

Thanks Kennedy/Johnson for destroying Star Wars. Lucas was better. Yes, even Phantom Menace was better.

reply

No... The movies are extremely successful... Why should they be fired?!

If you hate the way the Star Wars series changed, then blame the fans & lucas... It's the fans who weren't satisfied with just the originals and clamoured for more... Any movie that is serialised, sequeled, prequeled and extended will turn into something else...

You can't turn a poem into a novel without changing it materially and distorting it's meaning...

reply

They should be fired because their decisions are $h!t and they are taking a dump on the fanbase.

reply

the fanbase that will spend the better part of two billion dollars to see this movie?

i think the fans have spoken with their wallets and it seems they like this... i think Rian Johnson has a very good chance of doing his unrelated trilogy... money talks when you need to sell toys...

it doesn't matter how "pure" or "good" the movie is when it is this successful... but more to my original point, you can't help but change what was the original Star Wars if you're movie series is in it's 5th decade...

the only way to maintain Star Wars purity is for it to have stopped at the begining of the series...

Many people paid to see this movie either not knowing what was going to happen or watching out of curiosity. Have you seen the audience scores? Have you spoken to people in real life about this movie? Of course many people watched it...and many of them hated it.

reply

i'll see it in a couple of days and find out for myself... 😁

reply

Agreed. The saddest part for me is the non-reunion of the original trio. They had the chance to make it great, blew it, and now there's no chance of a do-over.

reply

Yeah, this really p!ssed me off. And, as we've learned, Disney never had any intention of reuniting the trio. They actually thought us fans would be pleased with that?

Disney is acting as if they hate the original trio and seem deadset on getting them removed as quickly as possible.

Disney is taking the "fck you, old fans--we're catering to "da new generation!!111eleven1!!" route. Fcking idiots...

One things for sure , if he does continue with the new trilogy , the box office numbers will be lower cause of TLJ
