Early reviews are not as good as The Force Awakens

And that really scares me because I would rather stare at a piece of dogsh!t for 2 hours than watch The Force Awakens.

reply

Me too but having read so many spoilers that correspond with each other, I have little hope this one will be any good either, it dosent help that I hate Rey though. LOL

reply

Chris Stuckman rated this below TFA and I usually agree with him that is scary plus he said that this was "Rey's story". Hopefully they will actually give her challenges to overcome but I'm afraid they are going to go with the safe and easy route and just keep her as a Mary Sue.

reply

No doubt she will be injured or defeated in this movie to make up for the last one.

reply

I might have some respect for the character if she gets her arm chopped off or defeated by Kylo Ren. That at least would no longer make her a Mary Sue.

reply

I am not sure if you can undue the mary sue moniker. Its pretty much set in stone now. The problem with this trilogy now is that is has to follow the same plot as the OT. Rey will be trained in the Force, (Luke and Yoda), the resistance will suffer a set back (ESB), Rey will lose her first light saber fight (ESB). We have already seen AT-AT's and a red imperial guard (ROTJ). No doubt it will be a fun ride of a movie with some twists and cliffhangers. But I am not expecting to much originality.

This movie has got to go dark in order for me to like it, but given the fact that Disney will probably be too afraid of scaring the kiddies that is a very unlikely possibility. I mean god forbid a movie isn't all sunshine and rainbows (ie. Temple of Doom)

reply

Temple of Doom was freaky deaky dark, but Disney is trying to make money not make a good film. It has to appeal to everyone.

After what people are saying happens in the movie (particularly to Luke) I don't blame them for downvoting it. Pure garbage.

reply

What's the buzz about Luke? Does he get upstaged by Rey? (wouldn't surprise me)

reply
Luke uses a force astral projection of himself to fight Kylo Ren. Luke NEVER leaves the planet he's on, has his "reunion" scene with Leia via this "astral projection" and fights Kylo and LOSES to him via this this astral projection...then LOSES his "force power" and dies/disappears. I know--I thought it was trolling at first too but many people have corroborated this by now. Even Lucas hasn't done anything THAT dumb. Oh, and Rey/Kylo have an "attraction" in this movie. Fvck Disney--fvck them.
I can't decide what's stupider, what you just posted or the "Martha" scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

reply

Honestly? I'm inclined to say this. Wow...Star Wars just "Martha'd" itself. O_o

reply

Just seen it, this 100% happens and its bs.

I was in the front row and i literally threw something across the floor.

Bullshit! Go watch Justice Plauge tomorrow.
