So only 11 minutes of 120FPS footage?

Thats not very much lol

However, if it's only being used for the cameras the soldiers have on their helmets then I can see the purpose of it. Should work well. I like that all of the film is being finished in 4K

Would also have been interesting if the entire film was shot in 120FPS. While I dig that Ang Lee uses different formats in his films and the fact that Nolan is making a WWII epic entirely shot with 65mm and IMAX camera's, I would really like a War film shot entirely in 120FPS. It makes it hyper real and digital has a very different look to it than film. Even though I still prefer film over digital we've yet to see a War epic shot entirely in HFR (or entirely in 65mm ánd IMAX for that matter ;))

War, what is it good for?

11 minutes of footage is only what they showed to people at NAB. The entire film was shot in 120fps indeed.

neither format nor frame rate can improve a story

BTW... your brain cannot see in 120fps.... what 120fps does is make each frame sharper overall as there is less motion blur. Personally I shoot in 60p/120p/240p regularly... but my final output is always 24p as high frame rates destroy cinematic feel and take the user out of the moment emotionally.
