Richard Jenkins

He should have been nominated for awards for his performance here. It was incredible.

Yup, I'm used to watching him in comedies like Step Brothers, was amazed by his performance.

reply

He was absolutely fantastic in this. I would never have expected to see him in a role like this.

Check him in Burn after reading!

Sid Haig wasn't bad either. It's a shame he's been to relegated to bit parts and z-rated horror flicks the past few decades.

Jenkins was indeed amazing. Kept saying all these hilarious self-deprecating lines with a straight face and a little smile. I laughed at loud at his lines several times. Early in the film, one of the characters asks him something like, "Do you expect us to believe that?" and he replied, "I'm hoping."

Had me in stitches.

Sid Haig was terrific. "This is not the time for womanly imaginings!"

reply

I hardly recognized him. Dang the cast is pretty good.

reply

Indeed. I felt the action sequences were almost not even needed. I would have been content to listen to these bizarre though sweet-natured characters talk to each other for 2 hours.

"This is dead air, Barry....dead air."

reply

Agreed, I was totally blown away by his performance. That was some oscar-worthy acting he put into a rather B'ish movie.

He was fantastic. His characters ramblings really stole every scene that mightve been otherwise dull.

reply

Gotta add my voice to the crowd. Richard Jenkins' performance here was extraordinary. Why no Oscar?
