Troglodyte theory.

Are the Troglodytes meant to be the fabled Nephilim of suggested alternate history?
There are meant to be native American stories of giant, white skinned, cannibalistic, cave dwelling savages that used to live on the American continent long before them.
The song 'Four doomed men ride out' that plays over the credits references them as 'ancient'.

I have never heard of these myths and you sent me down a rabbit whole of images. That does look like a mix of those old legends for sure. It is more scary how many sites believe these tales as true and that the scientific community has been hiding all the proof of giants in a big cover up.

reply

Yeah. It is hard to know what to believe. Some of the evidence can be pretty convincing. But why would the Smithsonian and scientific community try and cover it up?

reply

Alternative history? You mean "creationism?" They're biblical. Do we believe in the great flood as well? Hardly.

reply

They have been adopted by Christian creationism, but they appear in other myths and legends too. As does a great flood.
Mind you; I am not giving any credit to these theories. This film is still a work of fiction.
