Whistle bone
How did O'Dwyer know about the whistle bone in the indians neck? I missed that.
shareI think he is just observant.
shareMaybe. But he asks out loud 'is that jewellery?' and then goes digging around in the guy's neck for it. Why he would go digging for jewellery at that moment, or why that whistle thing ended up where it did, is really just daft writing.
As are the predator roars and the elephant thuds as the Trogs walk around their cave. It is so stupid some people are actually thinking it must be a comedy. Unfortunately, the makers of this film show no indications that this is anything but bad writing.
That definitely could've been written better. It's so simple. Just have Arthur shoot the Troglodyte in the chest. He's panting, trying to catch his breath, and Arthur discovers that whatever's embedded in his neck is making an unnatural wheezing noise. I just thought of that in a few seconds, and it's better than what was presented in the film.
Exactly that happens in the movie. He shoots the troglodyte, hears a wheezing sound, pokes the torso with the butt of his gun a couple times and hears the wheezing of the air escaping through the whistle.
shareI was wrong. Brooder does this, not Arthur. So yeah it is a little weird that Arthur immediately sees the thing and starts cutting it out.
