How was this not nominated for best cinematography and best actor? One of the most beautiful looking films that i've ever seen and Spall was magnificent. Too bad this wasn't more well known.

It was nominated for Best Cinematography, actually. I agree on Spall though. Should have been nominated AND won.

It should have got the Cinematography award, it felt like they actually went back in time to film it - fantastic! Birdman didn't do anything as special as this, but sadly...
