Location of one scene...

Hello! I'm wondering if anyone could tell me where this scene was filmed? It's gorgeous.

Credits say parts filmed in Wales, so this is probably on the Welsh borders or possibly the Lake District.

Come on lads, bags of swank!

It is Wales, but not the borders. It's Llyn Idwal in Snowdonia. Turner travelled to Wales frequently in his early life.

Indeed, it's Cwm Idwal (Cwm is the valley, the Llyn is the lake) and I was a little disappointed not to see more of the local landscapes of the area as he made some fantastic paintings of the castles of the area.

Dolbadarn castle is my favourite as he deepened the valley in his picture and raised the castle to high up in the valley as if it were something out of the Rhine. Harlech castle is another famous one: that was painted from a spot which would have been impossible to have got to in those days without a boat. And the one at Cricieth (which happens to be my avatar picture) Turner turned the castle keep around 180 degrees to make the image more dramatic.
