PLEASE HELP

For the life of me, I can't find the actor who played a certain character in the movie...

Bear with me, because I saw this film when it came out so the scenes and names are a little fuzzy...

but there is this hilarious character who visits Mr. Turner's house (at least I think it's Turner's house). He and Mr. Turner along with a group of people are discussing art and other things and this specific character is very annoying, brattish and gets on Mr. Turner's nerves. I know he appears in at least one scene.

Does anyone know who I'm talking about or can help me find out who this actor is? I've gone through everyone's names on the IMDB list and I can't find him...

He also appeared in Episode 2 of "A Young Doctor's Notebook" with Daniel Radcliffe, if that helps.

We can't be lost; we don't know where we're going.
All that matters is that we're going.

You're welcome.
Now to spoil the mystery: I saw the movie recently.

I'm not sure if you're interested in the real character he portrayed, but it was John Ruskin, who became the pre-eminent art critic of the 19th century and a fierce defender and champion of Turner's work.

There was a bit of controversy when an article in the British newspaper the Guardian came out criticizing director Mike Leigh for portraying Ruskin in such a ridiculous manner. Leigh defended the portrayal by claiming artistic license in using one aspect of Ruskin's personality to add comic relief to the film.
