Worth my $6

I saw Lucy yesterday and was mildly impressed I'm not really a sci-fi person, so naturally I was sort of bummed that I didn't enjoy the movie and I kind of felt like I had wasted six whole dollars (unemployed college student don't judge me), though seeing Scar-Jo kick ass wasn't all that bad. But Get on Up now, that was worth every penny!! I loved this movie and now I have a weird crush on Chadwick Bonson. I liked everything about this movie, usually I can't stand when movies jump all over the place when it comes to biopics. I'm more of a start at a young age and work your way to stardom, but for some reason it worked. I guess bringing out his performances distracted from the time setting going all over the place. (not sure if that makes sense lol). I love history and this movie was all I expected especially the racial issues that James faced as a young child living in the Augusta and really until Stardom. I especially learned a lot about James Brown, things that I never knew and I'm sure not many people knew. I feel Chadwick did James justice to his voice, his dancing was great not perfect but it was good enough to pass for James. I just hope this is Chadwick's last biopic film, he has done three included Get on Up,it seems as if he is being typed cast but he really does a great job in all of his movies.

Chadwick was the ONLY one to play Brown. And I don't know about him being in 3 biopics, but I agree. He needs to go indy or do a big critical mini-series (ala Wire, Sopranos, True Detective). But that young man is a star.

He also did Jackie Robinson if I am not mistaken

I'm just curious as to where the hell you're seeing a movie for $6 in 2014?! I need to move there!
