Where is the Black Audience for boxo 2014?

We had two terrific movies that were black-themed and they both bombed at the boxo.
Beyond the Light $14,415,523
Get on Up $30,703,100

Usually a black-themed drama can pull in about $30-40Mil and sometimes more at the boxo, but these two barely broke even.

Even Chris Rock's movie only pulled in $19,266,000

Where has the Black audience gone? The one that supported the Butler and 12 Years a slave last year?
Does every movie depend on Kevin Hart to be a hit?

WHERE was the black audience that should have supported this movie, that's what I want to know?
There were the baby boomers, sure that went to see it, but what about the target audience?

Blacks don't support quality black film, whether it be highly produced or independent, never have.

The tiny support that blacks give for film in general are the same dumb comedies and blockbusters that everyone else watches.

The Butler and 12 Years were supported by white audiences.

Just like the music industry, Black Folks don't support the BOOTLEG. The big problem with Get On Up was the release date was wrong, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A FALL Movie, As for Beyond The Lights the trailer was cut wrong and it too would have been better released in the spring. No every movie doesn't depend on Kevin Hart to be a hit.

Just trying to understand, in this context does BOOTLEG refer to a cultural appropriation of sorts?
