You know how we got 2 minutes of it in B99 well they expanded in NG, My theory is they wanted the B99 fans to watch the show and stick with it but all ive seen is people say how stupid NG is and i totally agree.
They screwed up on this one.

I watch both shows, though I have to struggle to finish New Girl at times. I usually love crossovers but this one was sloppy. The dialog didn't even match when they (Jes and Jake) meet for Fs sake. The only upside is I had no clue they were going to crossover so at least the element of surprise was there. D+

shareI had to track down the New Girl episode, and before it even got to the opening titles I was thinking 'Oh god, this is gonna be a chore to watch', after 10 mins and no B99 cast appearances, I was tying a toe tag on myself.
If it helps anyone, Jake appears at around 11 mins, so you can skip to there.
The crossover didn't do anything for the fans or ratings, and it was stupid in the B99 universe. I don't watch New Girl, and this wouldn't have changed that.

two things: 1, it's nice to see numerous people don't watch new girl and 2, if there's only 2 minutes of crossover in B99 does that mean I can skip new girl?

Actually, there's a lot more of the crossover element in the NG episode. Besides the car scene, there's an appearance from Boyle and his son and Jess has one-on-one scenes with both Gina and Holt. It's not that funny and I don't know that it's really worth watching... but there is a fair amount of 99 stuff in the episode.
