It's just a lackluster disaster movie loosely based on the first LEFT BEHIND book. They wanted to make the story more appealing to a larger audience, but it's clear this story just won't work with the general public. Unless maybe they drop all the seriousness, and do something like HIGHLANDER... only with Jesus and Satan sword fighting in a MAD MAX: FURY ROAD style post-apocalyptic earth. I'd love to see that. And believe it or not some people think humans and dinosaurs co-existed. Well damn I want to see Jesus riding on a Tyrannosaurus.

It's only after I watched this film, I took a look at the map of the US and yes in some states seems people would believe Jesus could be riding around on a Tyrannosaurus and also vote for Donald Trump.

Reading up on the back story of the films source novel, Tim Le Haye cpuld be a subject for a ripe satire on Christianity and conservatism.
