Muslims believe the same will happen by the way...
Actually surprisingly this movie depicts one of the end of days sequences in Islam where all BELIEVERS would be raised from the earth, the believers in a one and only God. At that stage, the Quran is removed from Earth and there is no one mentioning God anymore. What happens next will probably be in the sequel.
The Muslim guy on the plane really annoyed me though for not knowing anything about this...but then again, like the priest, he may not be a believer!
I hope I don't get much bashing on this.
