Wow! A Tyler Perry movie that a gen audience might actually want to see

Now we're going to see if Tyler Perry is really that talented. He's written a premise that could really succeed with a general audience if it's written well. If not, it's back to Madea Kidnaps The Easter Bunny.

I agree, for the first time in my life I might actually go see a Tyler perry movie. Growing up in a household with a single mom, this is actually pretty appealing. I didn't even realize it was a Tyler perry movie until he showed up in the trailer.

I don't know. I think that many people already have their minds made up regarding Perry. I do for sure. This movie doesn't look interesting personally so I won't be viewing it. In fact, none of this movies and their premises have ever interested me.

But that's my choice and everyone else has their own choice to see what they want so it's all good.

So why come to this board to post your .02 on something you 1) won't be viewing, and 2) have no interest in T.Perry movies? Gluten for punishment, trolling, thinking out loud? I mean, if you really felt this way, you wouldn't even be here because you "shouldn't" really care at all to even entertain the thought, but here you are. SMH.

The Tyler Perry films that made a significant amount of money did well because general audiences saw and supported them.

All of his films have a general audience appeal. PG-13, universal subjects. It's just that it's pigeonholed by Hollywood because they usually have black leads. I recently heard an interview on a local radio Stettin. He said this film was more pointed toward single mothers.
