A TYLER PERRY MOVIE WITH A WHITE CAST!!!

The end is nigh

How many movies have all white casts? Apparently you haven't heard of A Family that Preys, his tv show The Haves and Have nots, that horrible Witness Protection movie......why is it when a black film comes out there's always complaining about where the white people are? But when a Woody Allen film comes out or many many other Hollywood films with all white casts, there's silence? Give me a break and get over it.

reply

If you have a problem with there being silence when Woody Allen makes a movie, go to that message board and make your views known.

Simple.

I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least its an ethos.

reply

Smokey, I believe Kelly doesn't have a problem with woody or any other film makers that employ a predominantly white cast. That poster is just pointing out the double standard when people criticize Tyler perry and his casting in movies. Also, the other works were pointed out (witness protection, family that preys,) people hear Tyler, and assume madea and an all-black cast, without seeing his work.

Now, I'm no huge fan of Tyler. Not because of his casts, but his usual redundancy of themes. The same way I tire of Will Ferrell, Jim Carey and Adam Sandler

reply

I think the OP was just cracking a joke because Tyler's films don't typically feature this ratio of whites to blacks.

Is Nia Long black?

reply

Yes, and she is very in to the black empowerment thing.

reply

if she is into black empowerment why not have kids with her husband?
it is empowering to be born to your married parents in a marital home.

Why do you even care? FYI, being married is sometimes no guarantee that someone's kids are going to have a stable home so get off that.

reply

I care because if she is about empowerment she would be for families.
it is a fact, stufy after study has shown that kids need 2 parents.
But nia has said in at least 2 interviews that she doesnt believe in that,
that single parents specifically her as a single momis fine and best. I disagree wit that. I wont get off that.

Yes a child may do better with two parents but they don't have to be married or even together. My parents divorced when I was three but they were both very active in my life.

I agree that being married is no guarantee when it comes to parenting. I believe most people enter into marriage with the best of intentions - who would get married and anticipate divorce? But it's fact that more than 1/2 of all marriages end in divorce and there you go - more single moms. And even if a marriage is wonderful, what happens if one of the parents dies or gets killed? Another single parent situation. We just need to focus on the KIDS.

Man it's the 21st century let mindset go! So if your old lady steps out on you, drains your bank account and is a low down bottom type bitch, you'll stay with her for the sake of the kids?

i wont let that mindset go.
Its the 21st century but society is still acting like it's the 1st century.
it takes a man to raise a son.
it takes a woman to rise a daughter.

i wont ever deal with the situation you describe because i
dont date 'low down bottom type btch'.
I take the time to date and get to know one another .

Stop jumping in bed and getting pregnant and getting stuck.
That should be how everyone is.
