Nia Long and her Real Life Son

I was admiring how natural Nia Long was in this movie, and yes I feel she is a great actress, but that scene between her and her son (when he came back from finding out about his dad) was so touching... There was a connection in their eyes, so I looked up the son on IMDB and google and whaddayaknow, he's her real life son (DUH).
I was just wondering if I was the only one that was clueless to this... If so, I am so late lol

I love Nia as an actress, she is one of my favorites. To have the pleasure of witnessing the beautiful acting between her and Massai was so magical to watch. My friends and I all teared up watching that scene, so heartbreaking as a viewer. One of the highlights of the movie.
