The house they lived in...

When I saw the cozy house, the beautiful wooded backyard leading to the mini house or garage, my reaction was... "WTF! This is the best house I've ever seen!" LOL!

It’s an incredible looking house isn’t it but I wonder if it was just a big set on a sound stage as when they are outside, the light just doesn’t look quite real to me.

If you look at the kitchen, where the cooktop is, there is no exhaust fan above/beside it and it has a really shallow tile backsplash that then turns into a railing - I just can’t see how any of that passes any kind of fire safety check?

But yes - mad props for the interior design/ set dressing of the house in this film. It’s gorgeous from a design aspect yet it looks comfortable looking also.

P.S - I’d love to be wrong so if anyone knows if it was a set or a real location, I’d love to know?

I found this article... https://www.dirt.com/gallery/locations/filming-locations/the-adam-project-house-vancouver-1203463801/lb-the-adam-project-house-vancouver-11/

It's a mixture of both real and fake. But I still love the serene vision/idea. You see rich people going for 50 bedroom mansions, and I just don't get it. If I had all the money in the world, the type of house and location in Adam's Project would be enough for me.

Wow!
Thank you so much for the link and update whatwazdat.
It really is incredible to see how much ‘movie magic’ goes into making a film these days.
I really enjoyed the article.

I completely agree with you too - I’d much rather have an old school, original suburban ‘mid century modern’ house than any of the new-build mega mansions on offer now.

They really did a great job making a ‘magical’ house in this movie.
