Probable goof

The Navy MD that he is speaking with in the trailer has a solid silver FMF pin. These are usually worn by USN Corpsmen; the MDs that qualify have a gold / silver pin. However, if he earned it as a corpsman and then later became a doctor, he could still wear it as it is authorized for his officer's uniform. I never saw a MD that had done this, but there's a decent chance that some out there have. However, this appears to be a goof. Not to say that prior service corpsmen don't go get advanced degrees and get commissioned. But the pin has only been around since 2006 I believe. Based on that guy's age there is slim to no chance he was a corpsman (even a high ranking one) that crossed over to the officer side after going to med school, doing his residency and finally becoming an O-6. Sorry for being a nerd, but I think this is a goof. Yut!
