Dito Montiel? You've got to be f-ing kidding!

Is it just me or have the majority of Dito Montiel's films basically been dumped on video (with the exception of Fighting)? How does he keep getting A-list actors when he's a C-list director at best?

After recently seeing two Dito films back to back and feeling completely drained by the end; It was a little disappointing to see his name on this. However, he is a brilliant director who defiantly sticks to his independent style.. His movies always have the "human element" real life down and out character's. That's just him. I won't judge him or this one until I see it. He didn't write it so it may have a different style/vibe than "Guide to recognizing your saints" and "Son of no one".. We shall see!

Son of no one is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

That movie was without a doubt one of the worst movies I have seen.

I gave it a chance because I liked AGTRYS. But Son Of No One was absolute trash

I caught Fighting playing on a random cable channel in a hotel room about a year ago. While it's a pretty generic genre film, I was captured by the muted tone. Terrence Howard's unique portrayal of Harvey the hustler drew me in. I've since watched it again on Netflix. I'd like to see another Dito Montiel film and this one looks as good as any to check out.
