A Confusing Trailer

I had to come here to find out what the movie was even about and now I'm more confused because the trailer didn't even hint at a son or a post-apocalyptic america to me. What I got was what seemed like a story of a soldier who had witnessed some disturbing event and is coping with it.

Same here. Saw the trailer on YouTube and it looked interesting so I came here for some more info on it. Now I'm just confused as hell about it cuz like you said, the trailer depicted something completely different
