Failure Because of Shia's D-Bag Status?
Is he done because simply too much douchebaggery?
shareActually from what I've been reading, his performance is one of the better things about this movie.
shareFrom what I read about the film, it sat on the shelf for over a year because the company that made it went bankrupt, and it didn't get a distribution deal until recently. I mainly want to see it because of LeBeouf, whom I've always liked as a actor, simply because he's usually fun to watch, and he also brings such a live-wire intensity to his roles---and because the premise of the film sounds intriguing. Unfortunately, it hasn't gotten any promotion whatsoever---I had to literally hunt it down in the movie section of the paper and online just to find out where the hell it was playing---that's pretty much par for the course with the kinds of films I like to watch though, lol. It's been getting mixed and bad reviews, but LeBeouf's performance in it has gotten some good reviews---some say it's better than the film, apparently.
