Season 6 Woke

S6EP3, his daughter gets rushed into hospital suffering from consumption, and lo and behold we have a black nurse and doctor. There were no black nurses or doctors in hospitals in the 1920's FULL STOP. Utter woke garbage.

I'm Deckard B26354, I'm filed and monitored.

First of all, Season 6 takes place in 1933.

Second, yes, there were African American Doctors and Nurses in the early 20th Century and even before that...Must really suck to go into every movie/TV show and be on the lookout for what you think is "woke."

Here's a little reading material. Maybe you'll learn something.

Not sure how different England was in the early 1930s. OP has a point, things were still pretty heavily segregated. And the Shelby's should have had a fairly higher class doctor and staff, based on their social and political standing.

It stuck out to me as well. Along with that bit with the white mother and mixed kids, having a brick thrown through a window.

These kind of anachronistic changes always stand out like a sore thumb, but wokists insist that anyone who notices such things are just racists/sexists/misogynists/transphobes/homophobes, instead of just exercising common sense and basic pattern recognition.

I'm with you, Padeen - it must really be a pain for these "woke-monitors" to sit and be unable to just enjoy a show because they are trying to tic boxes or mark a tally sheet instead of just sitting back and enjoying a program.

Hell, I bet most of them have a sheet of population demographics on a clipboard while watching these shows so they can yell at the tv when the numbers don't add up.

Now let's hear that passion about other historical inaccuracies that is not related to culture wars?

These people only target minorities. They don't care about whitewashing.
