Should have been set in Detroit
Everyone knows the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade is better than the Chicago one.
shareI was thinking it should have been NYC.
But if it were set in NYC she would have been employed by Macys and not by the city.
All the other movies about Thanksgiving parades are set in NYC, it was nice to see one set somewhere else. Plus, the Chicago feel worked really well in the film, with deep dish pizza and other Midwest specialties.
I am from Chicago, it was a nice change of pace. I did not know Detroit hosts a parade as well.
