am I the only one disappointed that Linder survived?

But then, this season has been full of holes anyway... 😔

yes.

For one thing, I couldn't care less about him as a character.

But also, there is no way he would have survived a wound like that, especially considering that he'd been bleeding out for god knows how many hours.

That turn of events was simply laughable.

I thought he was quite compelling, especially for a supporting role. Good actor.

We don't know how long it had been since he was shot and placed in the truck. I think it was the same night. A gut shot could take a long time to kill a person. The caliber of gun would be an important factor. Once he was found and began receiving medical care (and blood transfusions), infection became the major concern.

Hank finding him in time to save his life was a long shot, but I was not laughing. We'll agree to disagree.

Okay, "way too convenient" - would that be a better description?
But then, so many things this season have been, that it's really disappointing...

OP -- maybe.

Linder is a genuinely good guy -- only one of a very few here, so I was rooting for him.

And gutshot wounds aren't necessarily fatal, if you can contain the bleeding.

In the universe of The Bridge abdominal gunshot wounds are trivial events. Eleanor was shot there and was chatting with Sonya and driving around with Buckley later that day, or perhaps it was the next day. It took Hank a couple of extra days to recover as he was shot multiple times but it wasn't long before he was winning gunfights. So the fact that Linder was shot at close range, by a large caliber handgun, which presumably fired hollow-point bullets, received no medical attention for hours, while he bled from his wound and from his mouth, was tossed in the back of a truck to be bounced around, is certainly no reason why he couldn't be up and about and taking Eva dancing a couple of days later.

I'm delighted Linder survived, but (if there's no third season) bitterly disappointed that Eleanor is still alive.

I'm with you, Linder gave me the creeps.

Every day is a gift...Does it have to be a pair of socks?

I'm still unsure how I feel about Linder surviving. On the one hand his character was pointless this season, but on the other I still loved his scenes with Eva.

However, what is most ridiculous about him surviving a close range gunshot to the abdomen, is that Romina and Hank also miraculously survived their gunshot wounds with relative ease too.

Linder was a man on a mission, he couldn't be stopped by a certain-death wound.
